It’s come to our attention that there is a little confusion about how to use Unstopables In-Wash Scent Boosters. And we think we know why. You see, feeling luxurious isn’t a state of mind. It’s a state of scent. A longer-lasting scent that takes all who inhale its robust notes and harmonies to places never thought attainable. And that’s a hard concept to grasp.
Also, people are putting Unstopables into the washer incorrectly.
So are you ready to end your confusion and transform your clothes? Of course you are. That’s why you’re still reading this. With Unstopables In-Wash Scent Booster, you’ll add a luxurious fragrance to your laundry that lasts up to 12 weeks.* We like to think that this is more than just adding a scent. This is how you luxurify. That’s not really a word, but you get it, right?

Shake First, Laundry Second
Unstopables In-Wash Scent Boosters can be used on all colors and fabrics, and in all loads. Simply shake a little (or a lot) into the specially designed measuring cap. Then, toss the beads into the washer* at the beginning of the load, before you start the wash and before you drop in your clothes. The key is to do this BEFORE you put in the clothes and to put the scent beads DIRECTLY into the washer drum. If you use the beads in this manner, grasshopper, you have mastered the art of in-wash scent boosting.
If you want more, and we’re guessing you probably do, then you can add a touch of silky softness by adding Ultra Downy® fabric softener to your automatic dispenser or by using a Downy Ball®. Please note that you should only use the Downy Ball in traditional top-loading washers and NOT in high-efficiency top-loading or front-loading washing machines.
The only difficult part about using an Unstopables In-Wash Scent Booster is choosing your fragrance. Simply select one of our seven luxurious scents—or mix and match with Downy Infusions™ fabric softener for a scent profile that’s all your own!
* Do not put beads in your washing machine’s fabric-softener dispenser or your dryer. Seriously. Don’t do it. Ever.
